Hi , I’m Emily, the creator of The Beauty Slayyer. Before I evolved to where I am now , I started off doing nails which led me to lash extensions and then later on to permanent makeup. The moment I heard that I wouldn't need to wear strip lashes anymore and can look fabulous with lashes on 24/7, made a huge drastic change into my life. In 2015, lash extensions were definitely getting popular and in high demand so me and a few girls decided to take a lash course in NYC. Taking the lash course definitely was not what I expected it to be and I did feel a bit discouraged that I didn’t catch on so quickly compared to my sisters. After a year passed by, I told myself “ YOU CANT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND GIVE UP LIKE THIS!” I decided to devote my time into lashes once more and found that passion the moment my client took a look in the mirror and LOVED her new lashes. That feeling of being able to make someone feel so beautiful by doing just lashes was a warm feeling that made me love the art of lash extensions even more. I loved the craft so much that I would stay up all night and just watch videos of other artist doing cool and different techniques making volume fans. To say the least, I never gave up on practicing , learning new techniques as well as supplies and new styles. 2 years later , not only have I began to perfect my craft and build up my clientele for lash extensions, MICROBLADING, was the new hot trend that I hopped on. Getting into permanent makeup was definitely not a walk in the park and I definitely needed a lot of practice. Starting off was definitely hard because how do you convince someone to let you give them PERMANENT TATTOOED BROWS?!? Super scary to say the least but I am totally grateful for all of those that trusted me to practice on their face! I traveled to the west coast multiple times just to learn from the best to learn different techniques as well buying multiple online courses to offer a multitude of services and quality for my girls. One advice I can give for all the girls who aspire to be their own boss like me one day , don’t ever stop learning or DONT EVER GIVE UP! Practice makes perfect and believing in yourself is the only way you will love what you do which will help you produce the best work for your clients. I am grateful to be in the position I am today to be a BOSS BABE and to have the best support ever.
xoxo Emily
